Description
12-Day Everest Base Camp Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu → Lukla → Phakding (2,610 m)
Early flight to Lukla (~35 min), then trek along the Dudh Koshi River to Phakding (~3–4 h). Enjoy rhododendron and pine forests.
Day 2: Phakding → Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Cross suspension bridges, ascend into Sherpa heartland (~6–7 h). First views of Everest region peaks.
Day 3: Acclimatization at Namche
Short hikes to the Everest Viewpoint or Khumjung village (~3,790 m), explore markets and museum.
Day 4: Namche → Tengboche (3,860 m)
Trek through pine/rhododendron forests to historic Tengboche Monastery (~5–6 h), with stunning Ama Dablam and Everest views.
Day 5: Tengboche → Dingboche (4,350 m)
Descend then ascend through Pangboche to Dingboche (~5–6 h), alpine scenery, Khumbu valley walls.
Day 6: Acclimatization at Dingboche
Hike to Nagarjun Hill (~5,100 m) for acclimatization, sweeping Himalayan panoramas.
Day 7: Dingboche → Lobuche (4,930 m)
Trek across valley floor, past Thukla Aid Post, into glacial moraines up to Lobuche (~5–6 h).
Day 8: Lobuche → Gorak Shep → Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) → Gorak Shep
Ascend to Gorak Shep, then trek to EBC and back (~6–8 h). Enjoy Khumbu Icefall and Base Camp atmosphere.
Day 9: Kala Patthar (5,545 m) sunrise → Pheriche (4,210 m)
Early climb to Kala Patthar for sunrise over Everest, descend via Gorak Shep to Pheriche (~6–7 h).
Day 10: Pheriche → Namche Bazaar
Descend through Pangboche and Tengboche back to Namche (~6–7 h).
Day 11: Namche Bazaar → Lukla
Long descent through forests and villages (~6–7 h) to Lukla for overnight.
Day 12: Lukla → Kathmandu
Morning flight back to Kathmandu, concluding the trek.
